Business & Decision, international Consultant and Systems Integrator, announces the launch of a new service center dedicated to the Business Intelligence (BI) and Master Data Management (MDM) activities of Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccine division of Sanofi Aventis Group.

The activities of Sanofi Pasteur's IT teams comprise the use of more than 120 applications and the management of about thirty IT projects each year. In order to pool together costs and improve the responsiveness of its teams, the pharmaceutical industrialist has retained Business & Decision to create a service center for the management of new BI and MDM projects, as well as for multi-technologies maintenance.

Sanofi Pasteur has merged its support and delivery teams within a single center to respond to two major issues:

• Improvement of the support level for transverse projects in terms of specialization and technologies.
• Capitalization of the teams' knowledge and know-how to improve the process efficiency.

The creation of a service center has led to a reorganisation of Sanofi Pasteur's support department: three multi-field referents (finance, trade, etc.) now coordinate all projects given to the service center and ensure the timely follow up of the company's various business activities and requests. Franck Le Bec, Contract Manager at Sanofi Pasteur, explains : "A team of twelve people manage and coordinate daily support and short upgrade tasks. For more important projects, we call on Business & Decision." The service center is comprised of about twenty people who are responsible for implementing approximately thirty projects each year in addition to general maintenance.
