The CER Carrefour Prévention win the famous Trophy Marco Landolt for his 30 years

Marco Landolt Trophy is awarded annually by the Association des Multicoques de Compétition to a sailor for his significant contribution to the world of sailing. This year the choice was not focused on an exceptional sailor, but an association: “Le Centre d’ Entraînement à la Régate de Genève”, that we have heard about since many years, and who celebrates its thirtieth anniversary. During this lapse of time, they supported and witnessed the rise of the largest Swiss marine like Dominique Wavre, Christian Wahl and Etienne David. They have participated in many “Tour de France à la Voile” and they were very close of winning it once. But the sailors who have been consolidating their charts were there mainly for training and even today, through Jerome Clerc, there are racers to become world-class sailors. The values ​​of the Training Center at the Regatta, the ERC - the fighting spirit, sportsmanship, dedication, love challenges and being aware of things - much like the generous benefactor Marco Landolt, convinced the AMC to choose RECs as the winner.

The trophy was presented during the official Gala of the Vulcain Trophy presented by Business & Decision. Philippe Cardis, creator of the Trophy and owner of SUI 3 De Rham Sotheby’s, and Jean-Philippe Landolt, nephew of Marco Landolt, have handed over the trophy to Jean-Marc Burdet, President of the CER, and Jérôme Clerc, administrator of the CER and Helmsman of the CER Carrefour Prevention Decision 35.
